Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026
These terms cover the Jawla app and the getjawla.com website. We wrote them in plain language; using Jawla means you accept them.
The service
Jawla recommends places to go out in Egypt. We check place details (hours, prices, accessibility) ourselves, but they can change without us knowing.
Prices are approximate per-person tiers in EGP, not menu prices.
Beta and invites
Jawla is invite-only for now: you get in with an invite code or when your waitlist turn comes. Invite codes are personal and may not be sold.
During the beta we may change or pause any feature.
Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. You're responsible for your account, and you can delete it at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use Jawla for anything unlawful.
- Scrape data from the app or the website.
- Try to disrupt or break into the service.
- Impersonate anyone.
Places and outings
Jawla isn't a party to anything between you and a venue. Check hours and prices with the place before you go. You're responsible for your own safety and belongings on an outing.
Our content
The Jawla name, logo, design and content belong to Jawla. Some place data comes from OpenStreetMap under its licence.
Limits of liability
Jawla is provided as is. As far as the law allows, Jawla isn't liable for losses from relying on recommendations or from changes to place details.
Suspension
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we'll explain why.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Egyptian law.
Changes
If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
